It’s happening on these pages too, a previous comment included the proper spelling of dam n but the puritans running the joint think its way too strong a swear for you.

At least she gets to read it… Dilbert can no longer be found anywhere. Cancel culture has decided for us – without our permission. Why isn’t there a single cartoonist here reminding us that our own personal choices have been taken away and that this is just as harmful in the long run as anything Adams has said?

“Bowlderized” is the word Chip is looking for. Not that he would know it.

Don’t worry, Roald Dahl’s original texts will still be published after critics call new editions ‘absurd censorship’The author’s original books like The Witches and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory will remain unchanged in the U.S. after backlash over new editions in the U.K.

Its the lying hysterical gun lovin book hating right wingers who are dull.

I see that Bok doesn’t understand censorship. The decision was made by Dahl’s publishing company. Some changes made a lot of sense (“mom and dad” to “parents”), some seem silly (drop FAT and just have enormous for Gloop), but that’s their BUSINESS decision. You know, the FREE MARKET.

If you fell for the publisher’s tactic to incite “outrage” over revision of roald dahl’s writings then shame on you. If you went out and bought original versions you were duped. Now are you going to be outraged over ian fleming’s james bond? The controllers of mr. fleming’s work is attempting the same ruse to arouse waning interest in its stale offerings.

Hmm. I’m wondering about the treatment of P.L. Travers.
