Really? A large-a** balloon? Over Montana? They didn’t think we’d notice?!

We’ve been at war with China for decades and only one side knows it. The other has leaders in business and government just looking to get rich off of China.

Joe Biden is a coward who cannot even bring himself to defend the sovereign airspace of the United States from his son’s Chinese benefactors. I hope he brings his kneepads with him when he visits Beijing.

Montana was not even smart enough just to moon it as it hovered over the state but now there are calls to shoot it down. But they want to wait until it is over populated areas so their herds do not suffer the collateral damage

Have to wonder, how many folks are taking pot shots at this thing? What would happen if they hit it?

A Chinese spy balloon over the middle of the great USofA. Really.. that this is taken seriously shows just how gullible and prone to misinformation Americans are.

Does this thing even exist? Seems like someone in the government just wanted to stir things up, stoking hysteria over China. I’m inclned to think it’s just a weather balloon. From little green men.

Lots of possibilities here: One suggestion I came across is that the government doesn’t want to shoot it down as that’s exactly what China wants in order to test and learn more about our missile technology. So the whole “don’t want to hurt civilians” over almost empty territory sounds like a lame excuse. Perhaps. Or that if shot at, the balloon will burst into flames and will destroy the very equipment we’d like to look at. Or, perhaps, for once China isn’t lying and it is a weather balloon that has been pushed off course.

The Pentagon has confirmed it’s a Chinese spy balloon and they’ve known about it for some time, now. It’s in US airspace. It should have already been shot down at the first opportunity. But nooooooo! Not while Xo Biden is the occupant. Let’s wait until it’s no longer over US territory so the PRC can recover it. Now that it’s public knowledge, maybe they’ll act?

How have they determined that it’s a spy balloon, and not a wandering weather balloon?

You know Biden is not going to authorize the shooting down of a Chinese spy balloon. That might jeopardize his standing with the CCP. Let it drift its course and get as much info as it can.

The way the Pentagon is tracking this balloon, it reminds me of NORAD tracking Santa Claus on X-MAS eve.

If this is a spy balloon at 60,000 ft, what can it do that a spy satellite can’t do zooming overhead? Solar panels are powering something, perhaps telemetry data transmissions or some sort of guidance system.

As soon as the spy balloon is over Mar-A-Lago shoot it down. Trump said to shoot it down but didn’t say where to do it

The current birth rate in China, plus what tiny bit of immigration allowed, is insufficient to replace the numbers that die. It used to be accepted that China would “win” a nuclear war because of their massive population. That’s no longer the case. India is expected to surpass China in population soon.
