I have to imagine that Tolkien would be pleased. 86 years after publishing The Hobbit, there are at least two hobbit references in today’s comics.

I would read a comedic strip with Frodo and Sam investigating crimes after destroying the One Ring, especially if Dan created it.

He says “Elementary, my dear …” all the time -

- it’s become like a regular hobbit with him.

Smoking is a bad hobbit.

Tokin’ with Tolkein.

But the postman always rings twice.

So funny a second toon today referencing LotR, I am just starting to rewatch it on Netlix
