GSP… how about stopping every justification you are trying and ask one simple question… why did he have these documents in the first place when he was NOT allowed to have them? Then you can ask Why were his LAWYERS looking through his stuff for them? And a final question: Why wasn’t there a full FBI / DOJ raid on all of his homes in the early hours of the morning, and his lawyers kept out so they could not observe what was going on?
The problem is with the handling of classified documents in general. There has been no formal process for controlling their distribution, as far as I can tell FOREVER!
I didn’t think much of it at the time but my father had a classified schematic book for the Titan ll ICBM (he was an electronic tec) he was working on, in his tool box at home…sixty years ago.
The classification system needs a lot of work… doesn’t excuse t****’s deceit and obfuscation on his possession of top level classified items but is does make Biden look better in his handling of long lost material.
If he had had them shredded or burned upon discovery there would not be this kerfuffle.

One thing for sure, unlike with Orange Traitor they were never anywhere near the breakfast buffet where anyone could pay to see them on a whim.
In Biden’s case, the reason the FBI didn’t need to get a search warrant to look for any more documents, is because President Biden invited them in and consented to a search. If someone consents to search, they don’t need to get a warrant and show up in the wee hours of the morning when you are more likely to be home to be served with the legal warrant.
Orange Traitor has yet to return all the known sensitive documents he has, and has possibly destroyed some. He refuses to cooperate, and won’t consent to search. The legal warranted search was carried out after about a year and a half of asking for them back nicely. It was done due to Orange Traitor’s lack of cooperation. Oddly, if Orange Traitor hadn’t started whining about it on social media, we may never had known such a search had happened at Mar a Lago. As far as I know that is the only property of his that was searched, although it’s apparent it shouldn’t have been. At this point, his son’s and daughter’s properties should also be searched. What’s funny is the Orange Traitor has has the audacity to to claim he should have them back, because they should be his to keep. The insanity to claim he’s clairvoyant and can declassify them with his mind. OK, and simultaneously claiming the documents were planted. It’s so hard to remember which lie one told last, especially when one is NOT a stable genius.
Next, will Goodwyn also continue his ‘campaign’ about continuing to investigate Hunter’s laptop? In the meantime, he doesn’t seem to be concerned that McCarthy’s MAGAts ‘solution’ to debt-ceiling issues is to cut Social Security and Medicare….
And now turns out Mike Pence has some classified documents too. I’m beginning to think it might be a good idea to require an independent search of all outgoing Presidents and Vice Presidents. Exceptions to the rules are made for powerful people, and I think perhaps that makes them get sloppy. They get used to not having to follow the same rules.
