Maybe get an artificial tree then.

They should at least take off, to save and reuse, the ornaments.

Cagney is missing, the service was too much for him. He got very attached to the tree (indoor plumbing).

I used to put up a (real) tree on the day after Thanksgiving and leave it up until Twelfth Night (watering it regularly, of course). But nowadays I just put a wreath on the front door and call it quits.

Have a friend who had a roommate and they put up a tree and kept it up until April for some reason.

They are scary

Set it up outside so you can enjoy it longer.
