Yep. Though his value as a spy and arms trader is considerably out of date as of right now.

It’s a start. After all, the spy/arms dealer is obsolete, and has notoriety attached to him. If he’s smart, he should stay retired.

Are we forgetting how much time, effort and resources went into to freeing this twit…I mean really, how many of us on this post would try to take illegal drugs into Russia and figure that was a good idea…sometimes looking at a situation logically helps.

What a great deal that Master Negotiator Brandon has gotten for us! The Russians get back their most effective arms dealer who has enabled Iran to kill American soldiers by the hundreds. We get back a bimbo who’s too stupid to understand that you shouldn’t carry hash oil when you enter the world’s most hostile country. Meanwhile, Paul Whelan, a Marine who does deserve repatriation, is left to languish by Brandon’s incompetency.

This deal is almost as good as the one that Obama got for us by trading five top Taliban commanders for one traitorous soldier who was a Taliban sympathizer and who deserted his unit and went AWOL.

Viktor Bout had already served his purpose for the US. His wealth, connections, possessions, information had already been taken, and his term was already half over. If we had held onto him much longer, his value as a trade would have diminished. Griner, on the other hand, was relatively innocent — what she had with her had been long tolerated by Russians, and it was only because of the war that she was arrested. The swap made sense.

The Russians reportedly wanted one of their assassins released from Germany. The Germans said no. This was the only deal that could have been made at this time. As many pointed out, Trump didn’t raise one finger to get Whelan back. So, the question is, why does getting an American back, albeit on less than perfect terms, bother some on the right so much?

Bout was small potatoes compared to the arms dealing carried out by the US government.

Russian media brutally mocks United States for Brittney Griner

“Of course, I was very amused but not surprised that Bout was exchanged for Griner and not Whelan,” a moderator said on the broadcast, according to the translation. “He is a hero, a decorated Marine covered in medals. He only has one… no two… no three problems. His first problem is that he is white. His second problem is he is a man. His third problem: He is a heterosexual. This is not something that can be forgiven today. It’s just a catastrophe. Yes, here Griner beats him in every aspect.”

The moderator then falsely claims that American voters were given a choice of which American to free: Whelan or Griner. In reality, Joe Biden made the decision to bring Brittney Griner back and leave Whelan in Russia. He defended his decision, saying Russia was unwilling to negotiate for Whelan’s return.

Whelan’s family said they understood the decision, but Whelan admitted that he was “extremely disappointed” that he has not yet been released.

In the meantime, the republiguns and NRA support the proliferation of fire arms in the USA.

Biden needed to make cannabis “legal” in the U.S. before he could free Griner. Just like “the pandemic is over” politics makes strange bedfellows.

This was to be her ninth consecutive year playing on a Russian team, after one year playing on a Chinese team, so this wasn’t her first rodeo. She knew what she was doing when she attempted to smuggle illegal substances into the country, but figured her “celebrity” status would take care of her. Surprise!

She and any of her other Communist sympathizers need to be in a Gulag. After disrespecting the US she then whined and cried wanting the country she obviously hates to rescue her.

Dumbest thing I have seen from Biden. Absolutely nothing but pandering to the black lesbian vote?? Insulting to me that White House says this will not cause any further “arrest” of US citizens. Griner went there of her own free will. We have given Ukraine billions to fight Putin. Now we give Putin what he wants in exchange for 1 basketball player. We must look like a bunch of real yokels to the real world. Embarrassing.

Well, at least Griner wasn’t arrested in North Korea. Remember Otto Warmbier? But then again, Dennis Rodman would come to her rescue.
