There once was a turtle we knew well,

This poor turtle lost his shell.

Shell-less now in grave dishabille,

Cold breezes on nethers he did feel.

Being shell-less stuck in his craw,

He hoped his state was within the law.

Spotting his shell he did proclaim,

“There’s my shell! It has my name!”

Carried aloft by a bird, his friend,

He got his shell…the end.

Raise your hands if you think turtles can actually leave their shells …………………………………………………………….. Nobody??? Well, that’s a relief!
