Today is:

NATIONAL TAKE A HIKE DAY. No hiking for me today. It’s cold out and I feel like I’m coming down with a cold (I hope it isn’t covid). I’ve been feeling worse almost by the minute. No fever yet (I just took my temperature and it’s 98.7, but it was 96.8 about an hour ago. My normal temperature tends to be less than 98.6, so maybe I do have a slight fever). I still have my sense of taste and smell, so I hope it is just a cold. I have an at home covid test which I’ll do later if I start getting sicker. I’m glad it’s my day off.

NATIONAL HOMEMADE BREAD DAY. I was thinking about baking bread today if I feel well enough.

NATIONAL BUTTER DAY. I’ll have plenty of butter on my bread if I bake any.

Oh, the perks of being a house cat! When she was feral and living in my garage, Annie gratefully gobbled up any food I put in front of her. Now that she’s a spoiled house cat, getting fed canned cat food every night, she’s gotten choosy. She won’t eat it if I put the wrong flavor in front of her. And she shows a strong preference for patè type of food. I couldn’t get the patè one time so I had to buy the shreds. She turned up her nose at it. Oh well, all the more for the others to eat!

Give it a rest, Chesney. He’s not that gullible.

A translation for American readers: A tin of tuna is a can of tuna. Hard to believe our languages are so different. ;-)

It’s official. I’m sick again! I just got over a cold a few weeks ago, but so many associates and customers are coming in when they’re sick. And I always seem to be right there close to them when they cough. And they don’t cover their cough. I haven’t done the covid test yet. I’ll do that later. Just a slight fever so far – 99.4. I’ll drink lots of fluids today, load up on Vitamin C and maybe some zinc. So far, all I have is a runny nose and a cough. I really don’t feel very sick – yet. I likely will stay home from work tomorrow and maybe even on Saturday. It depends on the results of the covid test and how I’m feeling.

Chesney is really cute today, especially in 3rd panel (mouth). Shame that Graham has sweet Annie frowning in each panel. She is a pretty girl and should smile more. OLIVER!!!!! You are needed……
