Ah, this was the Superbowl played in Tampa (First SuperBowl in the RJS Pirate Ship stadium) between the Baltimore Ravens and the NY Giants. I hope Irving and his buddy were pulling for Baltimore as they won 34-7. That was January 28, 2001, 20 years and one day ago.

When a 60-minute game takes four hours to play. Add an hour for five minutes of overtime.

Given that the Atlanta Falcons didn’t make the playoffs this year, it looks like we’ll have to root for the Bengals since we used to live about 100 miles from Cincinnati before we moved from Indiana to Georgia 5-1/2 years ago.

If the Bengals lose, but the Philadelphia Eagles win, then we’ll root for them because we’ve got a couple of friends here that grew up in Philly.

If both teams lose, then we probably won’t watch the Super Bowl at all ….. unless we’re still invited to a party somewhere, in which case we’ll just go for the food, the company, and the commercials instead! ;-)

I’m a male, and I can’t understand football. The ball disappears, everybody piles on top of each other for a few seconds, then everything stops, and I’m wondering what just happened?

Too many commercials. I can never figure out whether to root for Proctor & Gamble or Coca-Cola. :)

Personally, I follow college football a lot more than pro. During the Super Bowl, my go-to move is to root for the commercials. Ha.

HI, MOM. Happy Sunday, “Cathy” Clan.

I like the way Gretchen’s Mom choses a team to support. I do something similar when watching European footbal (known as soccer on this side of the pond). I don’t follow the league closely enough to know much about the teams so I usually pick the team I recognize or failing that the home team. I do cheer for goals made by either team as the play leading up to them are often quite spectacular. Football on this side of the pond – I don’t watch it at all.

Ouch, -21C out there tonight and I have to do some plowing later. Good thing I have lots of warm clothing. I hope your day was warmer.
