I’ve decided that my desire to be informed about the BS spouted by several of the right wingnuts is outweighed by my desire to enjoy my time looking at cartoons. G’Bye Mr. Kelley. It’s been ridiculous, stupid and vapid…
If the facts don’t work, conservatives can always just out-and-out lie.
Biden did “nothing” to curb inflation? Which rock has Kelley been hiding under? The inflation reduction act lowers the cost of insulin, lowers the cost of Medicare prescriptions by allowing direct negotiation of pricing between Medicare and the drug manufacturers to reverse a Republican policy from the early 2000’s under Bush and a Republican congress that prohibited such free market negotiation (since Republicans are not at all in favor of free markets, but for artificially enriching ginormous corporations the few richest elites who already have the most. As a result of this action, as seniors get a record cost-of-living-adjustment (COLA) increasing Social Security benefits, for the first time in years it will not be offset by a corresponding increasing in the Medicare deduction since THE MEDICARE DEDUCTION ACTUALLY WENT DOWN.
Further, Biden tried to reverse the Trump policy of demanding reduced production from OPEC+, opened up emergency reserves to offset the international emergencies, and the Biden Justice Department began opening investigations into illegal price gouging and profiteering during international emergencies.
According to one report 54% of inflation is due to executive compensation. We can fix that. But can you imagine the romping and screaming if we do so? “Socialism!” Well, no. “Free markets!” That’s what got us into trouble in the first place. Adam Smith said it best.
Still pushing the liberal media lie. Most, if not all the news outlets in the USA are owned by rightwing led corporations. Some are nuttier than others, but all tend to lean right. As it is, the truth tends to lean left.
I think Biden is taking the correct approach, letting the Fed do its job. It seems to (slowly) be working. The low unemployment rates are evidence of that. Other budgetary solutions could increase unemployment.
The Republicans try to pin inflation on Biden, but when asked what they would do to fix it, they hem, haw, and talk about something tangential. Like back in the Ford years with their WIN (whip inflation now) buttons; a lot turned them upside down for “no immediate miracles.”
Great timing SKelly. The Dow went up 1200 points yesterday in large part because of the favorable drop in inflation. I bet you were clamoring about the GIANT RED WAVE too a couple days ago.
Very unfortunate timing for the RWNJ contingent, especially for the “content” in this ‘toon — https://www.wsj.com/livecoverage/stock-market-news-today-11-10-2022-cpi-report-october-inflation

The Democrats are better liars than the other guys. The world will need fossil fuels until the invention of nuclear fusion, and the revolution puts the environment into the hands of the working class.
Really? I thought doing nothing was trump’s game plan. Well, and saying that a “beautiful” plan was in the works. Even when he had the levels of gov’t trifecta to actually do something.

SKelley tells yet another LIE.
.
SKelley, give us SOME hints about what Republicans would do about inflation. Tax cuts for the rich, maybe?
Eliminate Social Security and Medicare?
.
Come on SKelley, what IS the Republican plan?

One thing Joe can do so about inflation is to follow his predecessor’s lead and takes a sharpie to a chart. Ta da!

That is exactly how this administration works. Option #2 is to change the definition.

The Dow went up 1200 points yesterday on the news that Biden’s efforts to control inflation were working. Mr. Kelly should be aware of current events!
