It amazing that if your well informed how much information you can read between each line in a political ad of either party. In fact most any ad (and there are far too many of them) are filled with exorbitant claims and fact stretching.
“So I bought a .44 magnum it was solid steel cast And in the blessed name of Elvis well I just let it blast ’Til my TV lay in pieces there at my feet” (The Boss)
ALSO…unless you’re a hermit, you’re living with another human being. Typically, a healthy condition for our species. Which means THEY get to make their own choices – as well as sharing collective choices.
We have one. And Spouse turns it on. And I put on my headphones and turn up the eclectic music… Except for the news and weather, to which I do pay 30% attention. Even so, I’m full up to HERE with lying political ads which happen every 60 seconds or so during the news.
Old broadcast tv killed it self with 25 minutes of commercials every 30 minutes. Streaming tv is headed the same way. Back in the day we had public tv, but the Republicans cut their budget, naturally. Greed goeth before a fall.

Or change the frigging channel. Cripes, it’s just another comm source. You manage ALL the sources, ALL the choices. Be a grown-up!

I don’t have a TV at all because I’m not a real TV watcher. Internet TV works just as good for me. Lots of good movies with no commercials!

We haven’t had a TV in the house since the late 90’s. We read traditional papers for news and visit our local library for entertainment.
