The pandemic phase is over, we are no endemic, largely because a lot of fools refuse to get vaccinated. Though, in many cases, that may be a problem that sorts itself out in time.

As for COVID, saying the “pandemic is over” does not mean that COVID is gone, it just means that it is no longer threatening us at a pandemic level. The common cold, the flu, and other transmissible illnesses exist without being a “pandemic”, and COVID is phasing into that category. The challenge is that the transition phase is quite a “grey line” to cross, so people’s opinion of if we are “there yet” is inconsistent.

If the border wasn’t secure how were the 2,000,000 collected or even accounted for?

Republicans have NO solutions to any issue and don’t WANT any issue to be resolved. Republicans have said over and over and over that the pandemic was a hoax. Now, they are OUTRAGED!!!!!!!!!!!! that Biden said the pandemic was over — and they totally ignore and deny what he said in the same sentence that there was more work to be done on covid.

‘More work to be done’, meaning continued research, vaccinations, continued improvement in treatment methods, and preparing for the next pandemic.
