My dad worked for Coca Cola in the 1960’s and 70’s.

We gave out cans of Coke, Sprite, Fanta -the kids choice.

My friends dad was a dentist. They gave out toothbrushes and mini tubes of toothpaste.

Our house was much more popular.

On the bright side, he sucked up his pride and threw it away. Kinda funny for me, considering it’s rare for him to do that.

That vegan candy can go in the bowl I use for the kids without costumes and the kids who are way too old to be trick or treating (unless they are chaperoning). Currently circus peanuts, the red/white peppermints, double bubble gum that lasts all of 12 seconds for flavor, and Dum Dum suckers make up that bowl.

There’s a lot of semi-decent “vegan” candies according to Google. It’s just they’re advertised as regular sweets rather than “health” vegan foods. The reason those probably suck is that the brands making them were marketing them as “vegan”, being their only selling point.

Great idea, Nate. Finally, no more being a laughing stock. Hopefully this is a sign that you should just hand out regular candy like everyone else.
