When you stop and think about it..it does look a little weird.

Good news. The Garage called and my car doesn’t need a new key lock assembly after all. A little tweeking and they got the key fob to work. Saved me $1272.00!

It’s not often that you see cats eating with their “hands” like that.

One year, I had a lot of mice in the house. I always hated using mouse traps (and those glue boards should be outlawed! I’d never use one of those!) So I was using a live trap – a thing called a “mice cube” which I used to be able to buy at Walmart. I haven’t seen them in stores for several years now. I was catching so many mice so fast, lots of babies and lots of adults, I started putting them in a tall trash can which they couldn’t jump out of. Once I collected about 15 or so mice (I don’t remember exactly how many I had in that trash can, but it was quite a few) I book the whole bunch of them a couple miles out into the country, away from houses and near the village brush pile where I thought they might find a source of shelter. There’s a good chance some became prey to hawks or foxes or something, but I felt good that I gave them a chance to live and no chance they’d get back into my house. I did patch up some holes in the foundation of my house, where mice (and cold air) were getting in. I still get mice, but not as bad as before.

Ches needs to go sleep it off, he’s pretty goofy today.

Lots of interesting holidays, but Hobbit Day is my favorite.

Elephant appreciation Day. The MARA association calendar is staring at me from under a TV.

I can’t get enough of HRH’s pony, EMMA, pics and videos. She is 24 and been with QE II 20 years. How sad…but she is loved and well cared for.

Good point, Annie. Chesney, just let Oliver eat in peace. On another note, saw two juncos, three robins, a dragonfly, a spotted towhee, and a garter snake while out walking today.
