$10,000 won’t get you one semester at most state colleges much less at an Ivy league school.

You can’t receive loan forgiveness AND be “elite.” The program’s restrictions prevent that.

When the Republicans passed a massive tax break for the wealthy in 2017, who was THAT for? Certainly not people getting a break on the student loans.

Obviously Payne never worked in a fast food establishment for minimum wage. Nor as a waiter/server in any other sort of restaurant; the typical wage for those folks is about $2.50 (or less); they are expected to meet the minimum wage requirement with tips. I doubt that Payne has ever turned a tap for that matter. Most fast food workers aren’t high school kids picking up a few bucks part-time. They are by and large adults, people “of color”, and most are women.

Where do MOST benefits go? Another dishonest cartoon and comments. As for the EV piece, should we count the ways that fossil fuels are subsidized in our country? In blood and treasure?

How silly, elites don’t have student loans, their privileged parents pay for their fees. Or with all of their good genes, they have academic scholarships. It is the ordinary grunts that have to rely on student loans.

How many kids of elites had to take out a loan for college? “Elite student college debt” is an oxymoron.
