I don’t trust either side further than I can throw them by their shadows.

Those facilities are upwind of Russia. It’ll be like irradiating their noses to spite their neighbors.

Some societies are proving — beyond all reasonable doubt — that they are too primitive and uncivilized to deal with nuclear energy.

Most Russians have little or no idea of just what’s going on, and don’t care anyway. Kind of like Americans.

Whytin still in power, much less alive?

If the Russians blow up something critical in that plant and create a nuclear disaster is that the same as setting off a nuclear bomb? Just something to stay awake worrying about.

If this is the path to reformation of the USSR (or something like it) then it will never work

If the Russians breach a reactor vessel and the plant shuts down, there will be another problem. How will the lost electricity be replaced? Especially considering how bad there winters are over there.

Please keep in mind that there are reports of Putin having a terminal illness. Also keep in mind that he doesn’t give a wing-ed fornication about anyone else. He just wants to go out with a bang.

I’m not surprised. Disgusted, yes.
