Those who excoriate Fauci are also those who receive the benefits of active public health policy. And they will suffer the results from the degradation of public health policy, too.

Polio, for example, has infected kids in some parts of New York; areas where vaccination rates are as low as ~40%. This is completely due to low vaxxing rates (the polio vaccine is at least 99% effective). It’s an example of public health failure caused by intransigence and/or ignorance. A perusal of the photos showing large venues, such as gyms, wherein polio infected kids by the hundreds, thousands, languished in iron lungs is recommended for the edification of those who poo-poo public health policy.

Years ago there were scads of old iron lung machines stored in the bowels of one of the buildings on the IUPUI campus in Indianapolis. Those machines were used during the polio epidemic of the mid 20th century (before effective vaccination was prevalent) and stored against a resurgence of the disease, from what ever cause. I wonder if they are still in storage.

Then there was his funding of horrendous research projects. One of which was putting mesh bags over the heads of beagle puppies, filling them with sand fleas and watching as the fleas ate the flesh, eyes and other soft tissues of the pups alive. Horrible.
