Please, most GOP has never had interest in supporting our soldiers, or their families even while active. Why do we have calls for the public to make up packages with toothbrushes, toothpaste, socks, shampoo …or remember when there were not enough bullet-proof vests for active duty men and women? WTH Look at our military budget and explain to me why we are NOT the best trained, best equipped military in the world. And then, when they come home, why aren’t they believed when they tell us … oh, idk, that Agent Orange or burn pits are making them sick…fatally ill? Look at the problem vets have getting treatment because the hospital is hours from their home.Soldiers make a good GOP talking points, and great photo-ops. Their families are not considered in any way. Recruiters lie (" you’ll get one of your top 3 choices") Politicians lie (“we’ll be here for you if you are injured during your service. We honor your sacrifice”)

True, unless Jon Stewart shows up and embarrasses you into voting yes.

And no veterans who carry the unmistakable mark of war in my parades. They make me look bad.

The GQP lost their way on the script for this bill, got distracted, started barking SQUIRREL, pointing at another bill the Democrats were having success with and deciding they should punish the Democrats by voting against the Veterans….ooops.

Considering how much they hate law enforcement and how the mistreat the military, I don’t think those two are a given here.
