Maybe the Chinese feel they’ve stolen enough of the west’s technology and destroyed our manufacturing base to restart the cold war with their over confident allies the Russians.
There is no meeting of the minds between China and the US, there can’t be. One is totalitarian with no room for compromise and the other is trying hard to avoid confrontation. Pelosi did moon them though by her visit to Taiwan.
What the heck dosas President Trump have to do with the current state of affairs with China? Except that he is no longer in office and therefore cannot put up a strong front against Xi as opposed to the weak Biden.
