He was rushed to the hospital after eating the ten dollars. The doctor told Peter…“No change is expected!”

Yeah, that didn’t happen for me after I was about 8-9 or so. After that, if I wanted money I was told to find a job mowing yards, washing cars, etc. Since there were things I wanted to buy, I worked and I appreciate the stance my parents took with me on that. I learned to work, how to negotiate labor for wages, that saving was a good thing, etc.

Way back, one of my children about Elliot’s age asked for ‘fun money’ but when I wanted a 2 page report explaining how he spent it, he handed it back and said ’No thanks".

I swear this kid is a mashup of Calvin, Jason (Foxtrot) and Big Nate!
