I have one of Andrew Wyeth’s “Christina’s World” companion pieces hanging in my living room – it’s a picture of his dog resting on a bed in the bedroom of the house shown in the “Christina’s World” painting.
I’m a big fan of the entire Wyeth family – from N.C. to Peter.
Of course, my favorite painters are Maxfield Parrish and Norman Rockwell – and, yes, I understand that those two should be classed as “illustrators”, not painters.
If you don’t understand the difference, count yourselves lucky, but, yes, in the snobbery of artistic endeavor, there is a great difference between a “painter” and an “illustrator”.
I fail to understand Steve’s reference here except to update a classic picture with a smartphone at the lady’s right hand. The use of reds and yellows might be a reference to the drought and hot weather of the midwest.

Banks’ financing of coal, oil, and gas was higher in 2021 than it was in 2016, the year after the Paris agreement was adopted
Since the Paris Agreement, the six largest US banks – Chase, Citi, Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs – have provided $1.4tn in financing to the fossil fuel industry. Indeed, since that heralded day in the French capital, the world’s four largest funders of fossil fuel expansion have all been US banks. So much for “American leadership”.

Might as well get used to it. It appears people will complain, but are unwilling to do anything meaningful to address the issue.
