I don’t think Estella is bothered by his predictability. She probably wants him to have preferences of his own and share them (Sometimes, anyway. At least as long as they are things she might enjoy).
Gee – we always do (and have always done) what husband wants, I tend not to want to do anything – just try to get work done – and it has worked for almost 50 years.
