Sadly, that would be my answer, too. I once went to an interview for a teaching job. When they told me that I’d be teaching English and math, I told the interviewer that I didn’t want to waste any more of his time because there was no way I could teach math. I can still see the shocked look on his face.
Taught my great grandson who is 11, the Pythagorean theorem how to win a bet, by walking a multiple of three steps, then turn right the the same multiple of 4 steps, and how he could show how many steps it will take to do the diagonal. Teach math by practical examples.
