It saddens me that this has become a political football. It disgusts me that the GOP’s shameless transition from “no rape at all; made up liberal lies” has morphed into a screed against immigration. As “Shod” pointed out above, what if the victim was also undocumented? What’s the narrative then?

Interesting. The character that Steve listed as his stand in used the words “needed an abortion”.

So is the woman supposedly saying the border raped the little girl or that American citizens don’t commit such horrific crimes?

The issue, Mr. Kelley, is not that the child was raped at all, nor even that she was raped by an “illegal”. The issue is that anyone who forces a child of ten to bear a child is guilty of unforgivable child abuse.

If pigs had wings, Kelley could fly.

In this case it was an illegal

The rapist was a documented worker in 2015 when he came here and overstayed his work visa becoming illegal. The tRump Admin didn’t chase down those who overstayed.

I find I must comment here. While I understand his commentary, or angle, I must say that this crosses a line for this conservative. While I will debate the validity of many issues, Mr Kelly crossed a line here with me. I don’t find this humorous or ironic, just plain distasteful.

Except undocumented immigrants commit crimes at lower levels than do American citizens. But why bother with facts, huh?

This is a disgusting replay of the Trump trope that immigrants, especially from south and central America are rapists and murders.

One might argue that there are immigration problems, but let’s discuss them as problems that we can solve rather than continue the divisive stereotyping and misrepresentations.
