Ideally you boil the water, or nearly boil it depending on your taste and where you come from, remove from heat and then put in the tea.

Being tied into a little bag made it even worse.

Just ask crabs and lobsters.

You boil the water and then pour the water into a tea pot wherein you have placed the tea to brew. What’s that little bag with the string???

That’s your bag, man.
