STAY OUT OF THE SUN DAY. I can’t I’ll be working outside all day, reducing the price on plants.
Best of all, it’s my last day at work before my vacation. I will be off for 8 days. I plan on doing some gardening and maybe finish painting my house. But mostly, I plan on spending a whole lot of time doing my favorite thing…ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!! Relaxing and reading and going for walks. I’m ready!!!
Does anyone know what Virgina Moars’ screen name is? We email back and for once or twice a month (she’s up in northern Ontario Canada) and the last time we talked was maybe early or mid June. I got a strange email from her husband late yesterday afternoon and I’m wondering if anyone has heard from her.
My grey girl got adopted yesterday. A woman and her 9 yr old son took her. The boy wanted the black one, which would have been perfect for an active little boy. But no, mom wanted the grey one – the quiet, shy one. Honestly, I don’t know how she will do in a home like that. If she gets returned, I will not be surprised.
To miscreant from yesterday: I’m so happy to know it can work out. (and boo hiss to those horrible people! We see it all of the time and it breaks our hearts) Anyway, here’s to hoping it’s a good ending like with your great dane.
To everyone regarding well-wishes: Thank you all! Our day was helping a friend move our fridge to his house then setting it up there. We got a new on this week. Did we need it? No. Did I want it just because it was gorgeous? Yes. I’ve gotten things just because I wanted them but this? This was way past those things. My cat sitter got a similar one last year and I admit that I was envious. I looked for a year because it had to fit the space and be white. It seems most appliances are stainless or black these days. Hers is black and a different brand. I found this one by accident one day in April. The wait time was 6-9 months but GE must have gotten a bunch of parts in because it arrived on Wed.
Oh dear, poor Oliver! Look out below! Hopefully, he’ll land on something soft. On another note, saw a sparrow, four robins, and two juncos while out walking today.
