I just got to thinking. Someone working is usually working on a fixed income. If you’re hourly you’re earning a fixed dollar per hour and if you’re salaried that’s all you get each year.
I do remember being “more broke”, when I had no income and nowhere to live. Social Security is a blessing but it doesn’t mean you can live where you like.

After I retired the first time, I had to get a job, but the inflation rate went up again and now I need a 2nd Job.

I hear that!!! I went on SSD in my very late 20s and it SUCKS.:’(
