Congressman: Let's not rush this.
The point is, it’s time to do something. It would be best if our investment in seating them, would get them solving a problem, instead of focusing on BEING one, on BOTH sides.
parker,
The problem with a present vote is that the individual is trying to wiggle out of something. Figuring out what, of course, is up to the observer. My personal take is that, if it’s pork, they should vote no and explain their vote to their constituents. This is a general comment not geared towards the argument currently in progress. We now return you there.

Check your facts ANandy, I don’t think he voted at all.

nomad, ANandy, references please. If he voted against the Republican “plans,” then I agree with him.

motivemagus - I didn’t say he voted against the Republicans.
Let me clarify. Senator Barack Obama didn’t vote at all or voted “present” on most items during his term in office.

“BO voted against every attempt to effect the health care industry while he was a Senator. Now it’s crisis time. Go figure.”
Well, we could continue like that for another few decades… but I thought both parties wanted reform, if in different ways.
Of course, nothing is more important than minor partisan bickering.

motivemagus - Da Nandy-dandy has spoken, thus it is so. Ask him.

If I was given 15 years to make a decision on something, I wouldn’t want to be rushed, either : )

Where is “here” exactly? Pretty much any country I know of has some private companies in healthcare, and for them it is an industry.
