The easy answer is “As many as there are people.”

Maybe the question is wrong. Is gender the word we want to use here? Are we describing the ability to bear children/father them?

    Or something else?

Time to be specific: XX or XY

I’ve heard of vary rare mutations, maybe XXY or YY, but whatever the final set of genes is, it is. You can’t change them. If you are XY and want to called a woman, I’ll respect that. But you still have an X and a Y chromosome.

You are who you are and I am OK with that

If you are something different on the inside than you appear to be on the outside, please don’t hold it against me if I don’t see that right away

Other than the physiological differences, it’s all subjective. Did Mr Wriggles take Memorial day off?

Genders are like World Trade Center towers. There used to be two, now it’s a difficult subject to discuss.

Mr. Wiggly: Mr. Lemon, my hat is off to you. I can find no evidence.

Weenus, unfortunately, has a bow-tie on. Everyone else at the party will avoid him like they do Mr. Wiggly.

They know at some point that Weenus will press a hidden button and the tie will spin like an airplane prop. Nobody thinks that is funny anymore, Weenus.
