Social media DOES do a few things that I value: It allows me to share “good” stuff with friends (and enjoy the search for such stuff), and it allows me to somewhat keep up with kin and friends. And VERY occasionally, I learn something new. What it has never done, so far as I know, is change someone’s opinion or behavior.

Just passively watching and complaining will not work this time. Honestly, has it ever?

Women have the most important choice of their lives this November to retain having control over their body. Hopefully the actions and intents of the christian Taliban has ‘Woke’ everyone to this fact.

I already lived through the 40’s on up and until you walk in my shoes dont judge! GOP want to hurl not only women, but the country back to the 1800’s! Only Men rule and have a say! Carry rifles and guns, treat women like chattel…beat them, disrespect them, rape them, etc.

Thanks to Sir Lies A Lot, he stacked all the courts he could in AMERICA….this is the result…he’s getting away with treason, fraud, taxes, lying, cheating, rape, and NOW he wants to go back to the White House and continue where he left off….he’s the most unscrupulous evil being that ever ran the country….in the ground!

No, and even the usually clueless Dems are waking up to this reality. Too late, of course, and it’s hard to bite with only retm: no fangs.

When does one become a human being? Is it at the formation of a zygote, i.e., at the fusion of ovum and sperm because it is now a diploid cell? But adult humans are constantly shedding diploid cells throughout their lives. Is it at 2 weeks when gastrulation of the embryo occurs in which the ordering and individuality of the organism (or organisms if twinning occurred) is defined? Or is it at the beginning of organized brain activity at 24-27 weeks? Since death is usually defined as the end of brain activity, there is a symmetry to that criterion. Or is it when the fetus has developed to a degree that it is viable outside the uterus, also at about 24 weeks? Or is it at birth? Is there in fact any instant of time at which it can be said this is a human being or is being a human being a process, not a single distinct step?

Don’t really matter! Just as it takes two parties to make a new life, it also takes a two party system to destroy a country.

It’s a sad commentary. The only thing missing is the unenforceable prostrifing laws and how public hypocrisy undermines them.

I have never heard an argument that would make me ethically comfortable with the state taking this aspect of bodily control and autonomy away. I understand that historically women and their bodies were viewed as property of men (and by extension the male run government.) But that doesn’t mean it was ever the right thing to do.

Now do a strip showing Manchin siding with the Republicans to deny the codification of the right of women to medical procedures.
