Majorities among both Democrats and Republicans agree that some abortion restrictions are needed in the third trimester. Those who believe they have an absolute right to murder late-term babies have no rational supporters. Rather than take the opportunity to capitalize on the beliefs we hold in common, Tyrant Schumer and company settled for a cheap shot on a gamble for political capital in November. They deserve to be disappointed.
