Totally wrong approach. Better to say, “You know what I do, I put my coffee cup in the same place every night so I can find it the next morning…, think of the time you would save if you were to try that with your purse.” Much more helpful, right?
My lovely lady never disagrees with my advice so we never argue. She says OK and then continues to do what she has always done. It’s always Groundhog Day under my roof.
In my experience, it’s men who ask where their things are. It took me a few years to say it’s probably where you left it last and stopped trying to be an assistant. It was annoying, though, when he would leave for work and take both sets of keys, leaving me unable to get to work. I learned to hide my keys.

She does put it in the same place every time. Aways in the same place she used it last.

Put a sock in her purse? Interesting advice.

Pretty rude response. Luckily my wife would reply " I know, right?" Senses of humor, vice cutting remarks seem to work better in a marriage.

Sadly, I haven’t learned that lesson myself yet, which I suppose explains the sock I consistently have crammed in my pie-hole…
