In many regions this season, even cats would be going out of their way to avoid the sunbeam.

I thought Garfield HATED, exercise ?

During this time of year, cat, the less sun the better.

Let’s not forget the important breaks for eating his food. Also eating Jon’s food

which is more exercise than he usually does!

‘Scooting With the Sunshine’? Wasn’t that a Big Band number? It should have been!

Roll out those lazy hazy crazy days of summer, those days of scooting and sunbeams and sleep.

We have to scoot our older cat (he’s nearly 19) out of the window in the middle of the summer. I’m afraid he’ll overheat, having black fur and all. He’s got cozy nests we set up with fuzzy blankets all over so he’s not too put out.

It’s good that Garfield’s getting Vitamin D.

There’s a good chance that Jon would say that scooting doesn’t count as exercise, even in spite of what Garfield says.

Garfield can say that now because today is the first day of summer.

Does anyone (in the Northern hemisphere) feel the days getting shorter yet?

I love it!!

Today is longest day which is start of summer. Here in the UK, there was celebrations at Stonehenge in Wiltshire where many people gathered round to see the sunrise.
