I never thought about trying to parallel park like that. I wonder if that would’ve worked for uphill parking which was the most difficult part of my driving test.
had to pass parallel parking to get a license when I was 16… I did it in a 1961 DeSoto (look it up) while my buddy did it in a Fiat 500 …never thought that was quite fair. (he did it in one move)
Reminds me of a trip to Boston in the late ’80s. Was looking out the window of my hotel room when this little Honda drove up and stopped at a parking spot on the street. Started thinking to myself if you could pick up the car and set it in there you would be all set. These 4 huge body builders got out of the car, went to the 4 corners and picked it up. Moved it into the parking spot then went across the street to the night club. Totally impressed.
