There IS a disadvantage to being honest when the other guy isn’t.

Baghdad Bok, armchair general who never served a day in his life wants to escalate a war where people other than him can go and die for his right to do what he’s done since 7th grade; create propaganda cartoons.

Says the armchair quarterback. The NATO alliance has done plenty, which is why Ukraine is still fighting and Putin isn’t doing a victory dance.

To all of the above cowards who would rather see the entire Ukrainian people slaughtered before their eyes than annoy Russia, I give you the wisdom of John Stuart Mill, who my own mother told me at an early age was the “smartest man on Earth”: “War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things: the decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth a war is much worse”. There’s more: “A man who has nothing which he is willing to fight for, nothing which he cares more about than he does about his personal safety, is a miserable creature who has no chance of being free, unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.” Time for all of those better men to stand up and be counted. I already have, Vietnam 1973-1974. How about you?

No one wants WWIII but let’s be honest, we may be already in it, Russia and China both commit cyber attacks on our country every day. Years ago there was a recruitment for the Army or Airforce saying there were over 2000 cyberattacks a day on the Pentagon alone. We have theft of our intellectual property, from China alone maybe $600 Billion a year, together maybe four trillion. It is time to think.

As a criticism of Russia, this is a good start. As a criticism of NATO, it’s inane.

I seem to recall seeing a cartoon, very recently I am sure, showing Putin at a table with a row of nuke-armed rocket missiles, and a speech balloon saying, “Your move.” There was also two other cartoons several days earlier seeming to criticize President Biden for his “gaffe” of saying of Putin “For God’s sake that man can’t remain in power.” Now today Chippy seems to want NATO to grow a pair and take action against the big bad bear. Golly gee, it’s really hard to figure out what’s going on in the Bok brain.

The Ukrainians are doing just fine thank you, as long as the bullets, equipment and supplies keep coming. Give them the tools and they will skin that fracking bear. I am somewhat concerned about training up on the equipment especially in situations such as tying in the 155 M777 howitzer to the AN/TPQ-34 counter mortar/artillery RADAR. But, seeing the robust actions against the Russian orcs, I think the training they’ve received from the USA/NATO exercises is serving them well. USSR/Russia military doctrine has always been that of brute force over tactical and strategic finesse.
