Trump will continue to sow discord in the Middle East (and at home) just as he has done for the past three and a half years. Remember the jets he sold to the Saudis to bomb poor Yemenis? How he did not hold them accountable for their murder of Khashoggi? How he flipped the finger to the Palestinians by moving the embassy to Jerusalem? His negotiating an accord between Israel and the autocratic UAE ain’t no peace prize winning move, either.

Those who know science best tend to congregate at prestigious universities. I venture to say that the administrators of those institutions, having such advice close at hand, have made sound science-based judgements. They have done so in spite of the adverse public opinion and lost revenue that will result from these decisions. They are to be commended for their wisdom.
Panic is an emotional response, not the same as prudent caution exercised to alleviate risk.
