I’ve always loved Autumn best… the burning leaves, the smells, the air, and my birthday the end of October, of course! My mom would take an angel food cake and carve it to give it a pumpkin shape and then frost it with orange frosting. memories!
Problem with spring was that it means the worst season of the year is coming – summer!! Summer with no school and nothing to do. Mom would only take me to the library once a week and they would not let me take out enough books to read over the week – figure I needed a book a day easily. Plus running errands with mom and wasting time doing so (same as I am stuck doing all year long with husband now).

Spring depressed me as a kid because there was school throughout the whole damn season!!
