What we need are Gasoline Ration Cards like we had in WWII where you can buy gas so you can get to work. They can be set were you get so many gallons for a lower price, then you can buy all you want at a super high price.

If the RW commenters moved on from this position I might agree with “its been done”. However I can still find the regulars whining about the war being someone else’s problem and the gas prices are what matter to them. So ’toons like these will still come.

Come on Mr. Britt,you can’t compare what is going on in the Ukraine to the high gas prices here! That is like comparing apples to kumquats!

Yes, because it is only Republicans that are complaining about high gas prices. And the left misses the point that BEFORE Russia even put troops on the ground IN Ukraine oil prices had dramatically increased – gasoline being about 60% increased.

This does not include the the increase SINCE. Most folks are miffed at the price increase since, but are quite understanding of it. It’s the raping of the wallet from November 2020 through January 2022 that got people pissed. And THAT is what will cost the Dems dearly in November – a mere 6.5 months away. They ignored it for that long, blamed it on everything under the Sun and did nothing about it, and now they are trying to blame the entire increase over the past 1.5 years on Russia.

I have encountered this matter from the Right and the Left; I wish for something more introspective.
