Have you ever wondered how they even HAVE that gas to sell? Remember gas lines and green or red flags? Now it’s all about profiteering. You can absolutely know that the price of the oil that went to making the gas you’re buying was nowhere near what it is now.

It seems that the oil companies have about 9000 permits for drilling oil they are not using. There should be some way to force the greedy sons of b###hs to use them.

It’s a nice comment on the gouging of the oil companies. Back in the 1970’s it was “obscene” profits, so nice touch!

I recall 9-11 when the local gas station had the gas price changed to 6$ before the second plane hit

What’s funny is there is no real reason for the prices to be this high. It’s pure price gouging.

Well, for once I like one of Steve’s toons. At least it’s funny.

Unfortunately, it only serves to remind us of the oil industry’s power over us at the pump. Like the pharmaceutical industry, they get to set the prices as they see fit, irregardless of actual conditions. Since the gas we’re using now was refined from crude stored in those large tanks, crude that was purchased before the price was jacked up by the oil producers, our gas should not show much increase at the pump. But, the oil industry gets to raise prices on the end product irregardless of their actual costs for said product. We need legislation to curb both the pharmaceutical and oil industry’s strangle hold on our economy. But I don’t see that coming till these large industries stay in Congress’ pocket.

Anyone whining about paying more for gas is either very selfish or has zero understanding of the situation. We need to weaken Russia in any way that we can. We need to be sending aid to Ukraine. We need to be droning Russian troops and letting the Ukrainians take credit for it. We are trying to avoid starting WWIII, just as Chamberlain tried to appease Hitler. It isn’t going to work. Eventually, we have to admit that Putin is going to Make Russia Great Again, unless we stop him. And, yes I know he can lob enough nuclear weapons at us to destroy us, as we can at him. The question is an old one. Would you rather be Red or dead?

Ukrainians are being murdered by an ARMY with artillery. It is becoming a genocide. but the MOST important think to Kelly is the price of Gas.

Hey Skippy. each dollar we send Putin will result in bullets for his murdering thugs. So stop whining about the price of Gas.

Is now a Good time to remind you about your support of Trump when he held back Ukraine Military aid trying to extract “dirt on Joe Biden”

How about the fact that Trump had a “Private” conversation with Putin in Helsinki without US interpreters.

Do you Think Putin got a Promise from Trump to make sure that Military aid NEVER reached Ukraine?

This is a trick by the environmentalists. Get the oil companies to jack up the price so high, nobody can afford to dry and so, global warming is slowed. The execs fell for it since prices were so low last year, bonuses sucked.

I feel those signs are a major source of discontent. Gasoline is the only commodity in our society where the price is thrust into everyone’s faces several times each day. I think it gets blown out of proportion that way. Yes, gas prices in particular—and inflation in general—are a problem, but they’re not the measure of the wellness of either our society or its economy. Far from it.

You want to save on gas and oil? Use less. Make alternate choices. Sure, if you live in a city in the Northeast and your abode is heated with heating oil, you have little choice. But you can affect the amount you consume, or what you consume in other aspects of your life.

Wherever you can make a choice, make a conscious one.
