As much as I hate to say this – but in a cold pragmatic way he is right. Putin calculated the reactions long before and got to the result that it is worth. Some sanctions come and go. They can also be bypassed by some befriended countries. He knows that most western countries only look for the $$ and what will be good for their own economy/business.But the soil he takes now, will stay russian. That will be good for his picture in the history books.

(18 Days After Trump Lost 2020 Election) Trump & Pompeo Gifted Putin the Ukraine

A whistleblower exposed that on a July 25, 2019 phone call, Donald Trump blackmailed Ukraine President Zelenskiy to help Trump win 2020 election. On the call, Trump threatened to withhold military assistance to Ukraine unless Zelenskiy agreed to:

launch trumped-up investigations into Joe Biden to help Trump win 2020 election,

told Zelenskiy to say that in 2016 Ukraine framed Russia for hacking the DNC,

urged Zelenskiy to work with Rudy Giuliani and Bill Barr on those matters.

Because Trump blackmailed Ukraine, the House Impeached Trump for “Abusing of Power of his Office” and “Obstructing Congress.”October 2019: Trump & Pompeo Move To Withdrawal From Open Skies TreatyDespite the serious national security concerns Ukraine had for Russian invasion, in October 2019 Donald Trump and Mike Pompeo took steps to withdrawal from the Treaty.November 22, 2020:Trump had already lost the 2020 election.Given the grave and real threat Russia posed to Ukraine’s national security there is no legitimate reason for Trump and Mike Pompeo to withdrawal from the Treaty 18 days after Trump lost the election. The October 7, 2019 letter gives the only reason Trump withdrew on 11/22/2020:

“withdrawal from the Treaty will only benefit Russia.”

Only One Reason Trump & Pompeo Withdrew on 11/22/2020

per October 7, 2019 letter “withdrawal from the Treaty will only benefit Russia.”

“American withdrawal would only benefit Russia and be harmful to our allies’ and partners’ national security interest.”

So the next time you hear a pro-Putin GOPer blame President Biden, remind them that 18 days after Trump lost 2020 election, Trump & Pompeo gave Ukraine to Putin.

I will not post sources for these. They’re all over the Internet, so find ’em yourself.

Look up the Ukrainian representative telling the Russian chair of the UN committee that “There is no purgatory for war criminals. They go straight to hell.”

And the look up the latest example of *ucker Carlson yet again defending Putin.

And look up how many reThuglican senators condemned the Russian invasion. Look up especially the ones who did not immediately denounce it. Like they had to stop and think about it for even a nanosecond.

By now all y’all RWNJ trolls know what you can do to yourselves. We don’t need to tell y’all. We’re tired of your traitor leader and all y’all are traitors for supporting him. If any of us ever were, now we’re done being civil about it. You support fascists and thugs. Nothing about that is, ever has been, or ever will be related to a damned thing concerning being a patriotic American.

    Screw y’all.

I am old enough to remember watching film of Russian tanks in the streets of Budapest. My mother’s mom was born in Budapest and was brought here when she was four years old. My grandma was from a large family and they had the where-with-all to host a refugee from the fighting. He told a harrowing story of tossing a molotov cocktail at a Russian tank. The family being largely first generation immigrants were appalled by the invasion of their former homeland. Being only nine at the time, I have no way to recount the mood of the nation as a whole but I’m pretty sure there was a huge majority of Americans that felt the same way my Hungarian relatives did. Contrast that with today when there is a big faction of of Americans that support Russian aggression and have no idea how dangerous a war in Europe is to our own peace and stability.https://www.history.com/this-day-in-history/soviets-put-brutal-end-to-hungarian-revolution

Yes, the US has been feckless about using the military when it was not appropriate, thinking Granada, Vietnam, Panama, Iraq, and Afghanistan. As it was demonstrated, if we wanted to get the people who crashed planes into buildings, we should have gone after Saudi Arabia, or better yet, just gone after the bad guys where they were with surgical strikes instead of invading the “Graveyard of Empires”. Have we learned anything from those disasters? Yes, we learned politicians can posture as patriots while pouring our national treasure into the pockets of corporations and military contractors without any oversight or accountability, while justifying the loss of idealistic young Americans who volunteer to get killed and maimed in “defense” of our country. The last guy asked, “What was in it for them” while looking at a graveyard of some of our best.

it seems ludicrous that anyone praise the traitor for demanding that NATO pay their fees.. The traitor has made it a lifetime practice of defrauding investors, paying contractors pennies onthe dollar and hiding behind bankruptcy. the shithead is a common criminal who gave aid and comfort to the enemy. He and his criminal heirs need to face justice and be sent to jail.

tRump’s praise for and Carlson’s defense of Pew-tin are so ludicrous, if I didn’t know better I’d swear somebody made them up. Give Rethuglicanazis and reich-wingers enough rope, and they’ll hang themselves nice and high, and twist in the wind whilst Progressives and left-wingers flip a lot of red seats at every governmental level to blue.

From a military analysis take President Trump is spot on regarding the tactics of Putin’s invasion on three axis’ and four fronts. The strategics of this have yet to play out and it may be that Putin has put his hand into a meat grinder. From all reports the Stinger and Javelin weapons that President Trump supplied to Ukraine are being put to good use. Trump respects and understands Putin as a world leader which Biden does not. Steve, you are absolutely incorrect on your depiction in this ‘toon.
