And, where is this not true?

The whole world seems to be more and more snarky.

Banning firearms will solve the problem. Oops, firearms are already illegal. How about putting some liberals in charge? Oops, 40 years of that hasn’t worked but that hasn’t stopped them from imposing the same failed ideas on the rest of the country. Maybe a community organizer can come up with some great ideas. Oops, he gave us ACORN, a bunch of like-minded crooks. The only remaining explaintion is racism.

“Go to any city controlled by Republicans. You won’t see kids worried about dying on the way to or from school.” Uh-huh. You’ll see husbands, wives, and children shooting each other from handguns left around the house.

striper, where did you get your data? In 2004, for example, 29,569 people were killed by firearms in the US, and 64,389 were injured. (http://tinyurl.com/2sf4l6) If I read this chart right, about 405 were accidents. But perhaps I didn’t frame it right. Most gun deaths are due to legal owners shooting people. Men and women getting into arguments, for example. They count as homicides, but if the gun hadn’t been so easy to get… And note that most nations have roughly a thousandth of our death rate due to handguns. There’s no doubt we pay a high price for our minimal restrictions on ownership. Roughly a Vietnam War’s worth of deaths every two years.

stripy, sex has always existed. If it didn’t, you wouldn’t be here and neither would I.

In Africa, priests have a strong influence and homosexuality is mostly ilegal there. And AIDS there…you know where I’m going. If you don’t, get yourself a brain.

I think stripers number come closer to being for L.A., not nationally. Oh, wait, drug killings in L.A. were “planned accidents”. Guns kill almost as many people as cars, but at least cars and their drivers are licensed- though many states hand out drivers licenses with little more proof a knowledge and capability to operate the “machine”.
