It’s a plan that could catch on. I’d feel sorry for them if there weren’t Confederate and Nazi flags showing up at Canadian trucker rallies. If they get sick it’s just “Oh no… Anyway…”
I have been finding coverage of this to be very bad at explaining the origins of this. From the BBC I found this“A “Freedom Convoy” was organised last month in response to the introduction of a new rule that all truckers must be vaccinated to cross the US-Canada border, or quarantine upon their return. The protest has since grown into a broader challenge to all Covid health restrictions. " It sounds like the few who didn’t want to get vaccinated and would have to quarantine, started this and then it snowballed into anyone with any grievance joining in. In the mean time they are putting lots of other workers jobs on the line. I also have seen where the backing/bankrolling is coming from the United States and elsewhere. There seem to be a lot of shady websites/Facebook pages.I got my shots, social distanced and have worn a mask at work for two years. They need to pull up their big kid panties and get on with life.
Unfortunately, this happens far too often in our country. Protests and demonstrations that start out peaceful with good intentions get hijacked by a radical group from the right or the left.
Vaccine mandates are a red herring. All they want is for the country to be run like a 3-year old is making the decisions, as long as they come out on top of society
Looks like they backed down. Too many afraid of being beaten to death by outraged fans? In any case: https://www.reuters.com/world/us/few-signs-super-bowl-trucker-protest-monitoring-firm-says-2022-02-12/

Almost all of the Canadian truckers ARE vaccinated. So who’s bankrolling the protests? The Great Yellow South…

Perhaps intended to be a protest, but has become an occupation by radicals.

I will find it funny if truckers disrupt the Super Bowl.
