Sounds like a criticism.

What’s the use of “listening” to Gladys?? She’s always right and she’ll tell you so!! Just nod your head in agreement and let it go!! A woman is always correct, even if she’s wrong!!

Sometimes criticism is good, but I do not know what for.

I am convinced that even if you listen to what she says you will always be criticized.

True, you occasionally stop to catch your breath.

How does the guy know she is always criticizes him if he ‘never’ listens to her?

The wife is always right, even when she may be mistaken. Trying to prove or show her that she is mistaken will always put you in the wrong. Marriage: Rule #1.

Just, most of the time. She thinks since she’s taller, she’s also smarter. When height rarely has anything to do with smarts.

Can’t use the words “always” or “never” as there will “always” be some exceptions that can be brought up or argued. Bottom line though, is that BOTH need to improve their communication skillls. Listen more closely to each other and make sure that your message is being received, don’t talk over each either and “NEVER” make ad hominem attacks on anyone in an argument. That, alone, insures that person will not listen to you and any semblance of a civil discussion is lost…..

Sometimes she lambastes him; other times she’s just being insulting.

That is a circular argument that will go nowhere until it rolls right out of the room and they can discuss the topic more productively.

i always listen carefully to what my wife says just in case there’s a pop quiz…
