We have enough problems in the United States to get involved with what is going on in the Ukraine. We really need to solve our own problems first, starting with the republigoon party.

Russia is indeed a very hard place. And Putin seems intent on making it harder.

The Republican Party of Trump is actively supporting Putin and his threats to invade Ukraine.

I recall, back 20+ years, that Ukraine was the 4th biggest nuclear power in the world after the fall of the USSR. They agreed to give them up in exchange for a promise from the West (USA, UK, others) to protect their territorial integrity. We failed in that 6 years ago when Russia annexed Crimea. Our promises will be seen as nothing, as they are by Putin, around the world if we do not honour them. We should have parked 101st Airborne, Brit 1st Armoured and the rest on the eastern border and said ‘Come on, then’ (as we should say int he UK ‘Come and have a go if you think your hard enough!’, chanted by football/soccer hoodlums). Putin knows a war with the West will last about 17 min before he runs out of money. And his kit in mostly not as good as ours. But he thinks we are weak and sees disunity.

—) Is this Putin’s strategic use of The “Domino’s” Effect? In this case, a sneaky goblin gobbling Ukraine a pizza at a time? With future sides of Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia on the menu?

I much prefer fascists backing down from their wild dreams and bluster. But I wonder what Russian tank commanders think about squadrons of those rusty old bucket of bolts we could quickly have sitting across the borders. You know those things that only cost a few million, not billions, and that a branch or two the military has wanted to get rid of for oh, so many years? And those things that work as is, instead of having million dollar oopsies (that have cost a few lives too). Ugly ol’ things… reminds me of a… now what is that ugly ol’ thing? Hmmm….

Ah yes, got it (and we already do!)…

    The Warthog

I wonder how well Russian tank commanders sleep knowing a few of those cheap ol’ things are still around, and could be within range rather quickly with a lot less maintenance and hassles.

Would they wake up from a rather bad dream and just go, “buuuuuuuurrrrrrrrppppp” – Oh! It must have been something I ate!"? Well then… Bon Appétit and sweet dreams. Dream about that being nothing short of an ounce of caution and a pound of cure just waiting.

    Speak softly.

But carry more than a few A-10’s

The already existing and proven prevention for just such a situation is sometimes an ugly and tough old bird.

Perfect. Most of the war mongers couldn’t find Ukraine on a map, and can’t understand what a death trap it is.

I’ll miss all the posters from GoComics who are even now streaming into recruiting stations to offer their services to defend the Ukraine…/s. Of course they’re not just talking the talk.

You are right. We can’t have Trump back to weaken NATO and embolden Putin

Ah, the Turd Reich Trolls are worried ol’ Vlad might be put in a position where he has to blink. Can’t have one of their favorite dictators doing that. The Mango Moron might have to give back his soccer ball.

From what one gathers from reading the news…the countries around Putin don’t so much want to join NATO as get away from Putin’s corruption, violence, lying/propaganda, and thieving. They all know with Putin around things only get worse and they will likely die much younger and in poverty. If it wasn’t for Putin’s aggressive violence and corruption the Ukraine situation probably wouldn’t be happening.
