The only question is. . .

. . .Is Steve Breen smart enough to know that he’s giving Biden a compliment?

Well, both President Biden and President Carter are decent, grounded, honorable men. Something Republicans can’t understand and are afraid of.

Democratic presidents keep having to save the US economy after republican presidents run it into the ground (businessinsider.com)

    Nixon causes stagflation

Carter tries his best but isn’t fast enough

    Reagan triples the deficit

    Clinton makes a surplus

Bush causes biggest recession since Great Depression

Obama decreases deficit by fastest rate since WWII and gets 70 straight months of job growth

tRump takes the deficit to highest level in history and fails to protect workers during a pandemic, causing another recession

This “conservative” economics has been ruining our country for over half a century and it needs to stop.

Reagan also reorganized income taxes to the effect of creating one of the largest shifts of wealth in the history of the country. Bringing the wealthiest to the highest highs they’d seen in decades, and leaving middle class wages stagnant for a generation. And the tough on crime/war on drugs was one of the most destructive sets of policy to PoC in the modern era.

Anyone that votes repug is a complete and utter imbecile.

I watched Carter’s incompetence result in Reagan’s election and Carter’s mishandling of Iran caused Russia to invade Afganistan, eventually resulting in 9/11. I hope Breen is wrong.

Sure, Mr. Breen, let’s institute wage and price controls and kill job growth…oh wait…let’s raise interest rates so high that businesses and consumers can’t borrow money…oh wait…so how can a president fix this issue? Reduce the money supply…maybe.

A degree in nuclear physics, captain of a nuclear submarine…I think that makes him a hell of a lot smarter than the carrot.

I wouldn’t mind, if someone said ‘’Redd Panda is as good a man, as Jimmy Carter.’’

I remember the gas wars of the 1970’s. I remember the long lines and some of the stations actually said closed due to gas shortage. Where I lived, when you got gas depended on the last number of your address. If it were an odd number, you could only get gas on odd days. If it were an even number, you could only get gas on even days. I remember my parents being stressed about it. In my mind President Jimmy Carter was partially, along with President Gerald Ford, was to blame for it.

And yet again Breen kisses Reich wing butt.

So… Shall we compare the Rump to…

    Warren G. Harding

    James Buchanan

    Ray Cohn

    Joe McCarthy

Any number of grifters, scammers, thieves, racists, misogynists, perverts, tyrants, and/or fascist leaders?

I mean, he already has outdone all of them and keeps on lying, cheating, and gifting to this day.

How’s that social media company doing with the millions he’s gifted so far? Any employees besides Nunes? Have the lawyers he’ll need for those SEC investigations been paid yet? Or will he cheat them like he’s done with most of his other lawyers?

How does a man from the party of “Family Values” get away with cheating on all of his wives, pay hookers to pee, be accused of so many sexual assaults, lust after his own daughter, and grope, fondle, and barge in on underage girls who are at best only partially dressed behind closed doors? But still have ignorant chumps stand by him?

He’s backed the racist Oath Keepers and Proud Boys and even refused to call the KKK out as racists, yet has so many idiot chumps claiming he’s not racist, “he’s just like us!”, as they attack the Capitol Building of the United States while they carry Confederate and Nazi flags.

How does one man bankrupt casinos, claim bankruptcy multiple times, cheat investors and students out of schemes like RumpU, make so many taxpayers pay millions for his own Secret Service security details at his own properties by charging them full rates, and still have so many ignorant chumps still think he’s “just like one of us!”?

And yet chumps like Breen stand by him. Breen, just go suck it.

Democrats need to emphasize their accomplishments such as record low unemployment – that is not indicative of a poor economy. You know Republicans would be screaming about it from rooftops.

Any comparison among presidents ignores the times are different. The closest now compares to the reconversion after World War II when inflation took off and there were many strikes, which meant the Republicans blamed “To Err Is Truman”. However, 1946 had the means of production in the United States and there was no pandemic, so the recovery occurred more quickly.

I’d like to think that the folks who do this at CSPAN are fairly honest and impartial. They look at appropriate criteria and judge FORMER presidents.

I think Jimmy Carter’s 506 is a respectable showing compared to our most recent FPOTUS’s 312.

When Carter was president the interest rates kept rising,

as soon as Reagan was elected the interest rates dropped to normal.

Carter was terrific for America. He took a lot of blame for the mess of a country the Republicans left him. Sound familiar? Americans are so fickle.

$hit. There is a close comparison of the inflation that Carter was trying fight like today.

The Republican spending caused the inflation and the Republican message was completely on the American captives….funny that Reagan made that swap as soon as he was elected.

Hmmmmm, what did he swap for those hostages? Let’s think here, Mr. Breen. Was it weapons? Hard to tell since Oliver and all of the other criminal Republicans “couldn’t recall”.

I guess that you are correct here, Mr. Breen. The Republicans have f**ked up the economy and are now taking the Democrat in control to task for it.

    Own your $hit, Breen.

It’s both funny and sad that neither side of the comment section ever listen to each other. Both sides are always 100% right in their opinions and have irrefutable facts, and let’s not forget the constant “oh, yeah…well your side did this”.

Ok, but…. the current inflation is due to our economy literally falling off a cliff and having the fastest rebound in economic history. Carter’s inflation was … not that.
