National Fruitcake Toss Day. I had to look into this one. I wasn’t sure if it was a celebration to throw the fruitcake away or to simply fling it as far as you can. Turns out it was the latter. Here is what I found:

Actually, if the fruitcake doesn’t have booze in it, the squirrels could enjoy it after you toss it. Well, they might like it WITH booze too, but do you really want drunk squirrels running around in your yard?
Oh my Cat! We’ve almost missed a special cat celebration. It’s “Answer Your Cat’s Questions Day!” We are supposed to pay attention to our cats’ behavior and look at the world through their eyes. Graham is already a grand master of this skill.
$149.76? I wonder how much that is in shrimp. On another note, saw two golden crowned kinglets, four nuthatches, two varied thrushes, and two ravens while out walking today.
