Wrong person is holding that trophy. It should be the very first American dictator wannabe, herr trump and the republigoon sycophants/apologists, ESPECIALLY the ones who post here! The guttersnipe comes to mind real quick but, just like trump, the trophy should read A##hole of the year!
Consider what the Australian authorities would have done to any normal person who lied on their visa application. But NJ is famous, so its all right. Sickening display of ‘money doesn’t talk, it swears’.
When your perceived “rights” interfere or endanger others, a line must be drawn. You don’t want to be vaccinated? Fine. But don’t expect to participate in public events.
What a joke. Djokovic had COVID a month ago. Even the NIH admitted that getting it confers immunity. (https://www.nih.gov/news-events/nih-research-matters/lasting-immunity-found-after-recovery-covid-19). And “He was exempted from the tournament’s vaccine rules because he had been infected with the virus within the previous six months.”. (the tournament’s rules, not the government’s).
I’m inclined to agree with CBS News’ assessment:
There was evidence that Djokovic was to be deported based on Hawke’s assessment that he was considered a “talisman of a community of anti-vaccination sentiment.”
Hawke’s lawyer Stephen Lloyd took aim at Djokovic’s anti-vaccination stance and his “history of ignoring COVID safety measures.”
What athlete travels from country to country and doesn’t see vaccination as a professional requirement in these times!? Yes, you have a choice… don’t travel for work!!
There’s a good chance he may be barred from Australia for the next three years. He will whine, cry, and likely not learn a little humility. Yet, it will be a lesson in humility that he very much needs.

He is less idiotic than it may first seem. Apparently he has recovered from an actual case of Covid. He would have SOME immunity.
