So get vaccinated, get a booster, wear a mask, and quit spreading disinformation, Ramirez. And quit whining. This is what your orange hero wanted, and you delivered, right?

In a week will be the anniversary of the verification and certification that Trump lost the 2020 election.

I am not a medical doctor or scientist, it makes a lot of sense if we all got vaccinated early on, the problems we face now would be minimal.

They can still find remnants of the 1918 Spanish flu floating around in viruses today.

Most experts are expecting this wave of new cases in North America and most of Europe to crest and recede in a couple of weeks (like it had weeks ago in South Africa, and is currently doing in the UK and Denmark) as opposed to months like earlier variants. While I don’t pretend to be a viral expert, I still think we are on the right track. The FDA has cleared Pfizer’s antivirals to treat those who are seriously ill from Covid, scientists at Walter Reed will soon start trials for a multi Corona vaccine that will not only target Covid, but all other Corona viruses like SARS, MERS, Ebola, even the common cold! So, hopefully, 2022 will be a far better year for us dealing with this virus. And our health care workers (including my niece and her husband, both Doctors in New Orleans) can finally get a break.

It looks like the vaccinated may dodge a bullet with the Omicron Variant. It seems like the Omicron variant does not attack the lungs like the other forms of the virus.* If you are vaccinated and otherwise in good health, you might have only mild symptoms. Of course, if you are unvaccinated, you could become deathly ill—the pretty easy choice to make…vaccine and live vs. unvaccinated and end up in the hospital.

The only risk it represents is that our massive testing infrastructure is now disrupting society. If we made everyone with a cold test and quarantine during the winter, we’d have lots of unnecessary economic, educational, and medical pain too.The solution isn’t to pretend it’s dangerous.
