Years ago, for my appendicitis operation, I had to count backwards from 100. The last number I remember was 16.

My husband was never really completely under. While he had no pain, he heard everything the doctor’s said. He even told them when he “awoke”. They were stunned.

I had three operations within one year. I noticed the anesthesiologists all wore colorful hair covers, and they always were smiling.

I always just closed my eyes for a second, and when I opened them, I was in the recovery room. For my Cataract surgery, I was awake all the way through. Didn’t feel much, but I could hear and see (through my other eye, at least.)

One problem, Beardo—colonoscopies are done with the patient lying on their LEFT side. But you have been on your right side since this started.
