Newpapers lost much of their revenue to Monster, Indeed, Career-Builders, Craig’s List, Etc. Had to raise price per issue, and too many Americans, especially among our youth, do not read newspapers or books. As the 21st century progresses,……. alas!
We pay for a local paper, the Economist (which refers to itself as a newspaper), and three on-line subscriptions for the Seattle Times (mainly for the David Horsey cartoons), WAPO, and NYT.
Not my fault if the paper does not carry the cartoons or the recipes or sports or what ever else interests me and I choose to save money by not subscribing. They are in a fight for their lives and they don’t seem to care. Go digital.

Sadly, TV entertainment posing as “news” takes over…

I support my local newspaper by subscribing to their online version of the paper. It’s $10 a month well spent.

Most newspapers today are corporately owned and not worth the trouble it takes to read them.

Though I read the local paper every day, the main reason to receive it is for the sale ads.

we didn’t have all this misinformation when people read reliable newspapers and before the fox propaganda network

Our local paper kept shrinking and the cost kept going up to the point it wasn’t worth subscribing any more.

The truth dies and anti democracy republican lies thrive.

That’s really sad. We need local papers to dig deep and let folks know what’s going on in their cities and towns.

Will the BBB $ to newspapers keep them independent?

Unintended consequences – may be the death of us all – if not something worse.
